Pumpkin Seed

Pumpkin seeds are rich in magnesium, phosphorus, manganese, tryptophan and iron. They also contain copper, zinc, vitamin K, and phytosterols. Zinc and calcium help prevent osteoporosis, tryptophan has been shown to be effective against depression, and phytosterols help reduce cholesterol and fight heart disease.

Add them to raw salads, bread, rice and other cereals, or make homemade bars using oat flakes, pumpkin seeds, walnuts and dried fruits.
